An SVD, GP-37 and TRs-301 were still in my load out to sell. It's not just about making money by any means. I think every Loner, Dutyer, Freedomer and Bandit out there in the Zone, deserves to have high-end weapons to fight mutants and have a higher chance of survival. I'm not out there to take sides in the Faction Wars. I will give any side a medkit if they need one.

I went out again, this time to the north-west, zapping a Bloodsucker I saw at the north pond by the tree. I continued on, passing through the Cooling Tower and on to the Train Tunnel. As I approached the opening, I could hear the roar of a Controller and brough up my scoped Gauss gun just in time to see a Dutyer fall before I was able to blast it. However, I still heard a Controller and looked again to see a second one chasing another Dutyer that I was able to zap and save his life. Inside the tunnel it was a mess. Dead Duty and Freedom soldiers everywhere. I was able to sell the SVD to the Dutyer but now I had a lot of loot from the dead.

I was starting to leave when an Emission hit and I went back inside the tunnel for shelter. Afterward I decided to get the Dutyer to fast travel me back to Yanov. It was good timing as I immediately met a three-man squad of Bandits that I sold the TRs-301 to. Then the GP-37 to a two-man Loner squad within a few steps of the Bandits. I went in and processed the rest of my loot and then walked outside the opposite door I went in. To my surprise there were two Bandit squads standing there. I immediately went back inside and grabbed a PKM, SVD and TRs-301. I sold the SVD to the first Bandit squad leader but the second one didn't have enough money for a high-end weapon.

I left them and went up to peer out onto the road from Zulu's Tower. Just to the north I saw a Dutyer, the same one I had just been with, fighting a Bloodsucker. I pulled out my Gauss gun, but it was too difficult with the ravine they were fighting in, especially with all the bushes. I could not get a clear shot, so I switched to my Eliminator and went in. The Dutyer soon fell wounded, but I was able to give him a medkit and before I knew it, he had killed the Bloodsucker. That was a close call.

I went to the edge of the rise and saw mutants swarming about in the pond and proceeded to shoot them. I turned and looked up and down the road and could not find the Dutyer. Then some movement to the right caught my eye, and I saw the Bandits by a train car. I approached them, dreading what I thought I would find and as I got on the other side of the coal car, I found the Dutyer dead. It felt terrible to have put him in harm's way for the fast travel, but he would have died in the Controller tunnel eventually. I got the SVD back plus an SGI-5K. Back to Yanov for a refit and I was soon out the door.

I spotted two Freedom crossing the road by the train station and sold the squad leader the TRs-301. I left them and noticed the Bandit squad was coming down the road this way and I attempted to slow them down by talking to them. I turned and went eastward a got going a little way when I heard gunfire and turned to see the Bandits shooting in the direction the Freedomers had gone. Rather than getting involved I hastily kept going, hoping to get both groups off-line.

At the Cement Plant I saw three Zombies at the top and I managed to zap one of them but then they went on the other side of the shack at the top where I couldn't see. I raced up there and soon noticed only two had survived and they were both green on my Mini-Map. At the top I found one of them wounded and gave him a medkit. There was a lot of loot, but the leader didn't have enough money to buy anything. I soon left them when I saw some Loners at the Plavni Anomaly. I descended the stairs and made my way as quickly as I could towards them, but I was overloaded. I noticed they were already leaving but caught up with the two. They did not have money but did give me fast travel to where they were going, Yanov Station.
