i don't really know if there's much of a difference on the dip switches (I don't think it is very much), but regardless, this was quite an obnoxious clear. It's very unfair and has to be done exactly as the game demands. It takes the idea of memorization and turns it into "be here, now be here" instead of utilizing the mastery of a particular mechanic like what Irem games like R-Type with the force orb and X-Multiply with the tentacle arms provide. (The dragon can be maneuvered into certain positions so that the body can destroy or block bullets, but comparatively speaking, it isn't on par with R-Type's strategic level of play.) As a result, Saint Dragon's room for creative play is more limited. Debris can kill you too which will be RNG, and the hitbox appears to be almost the entire dragon's head. This was a difficult run for me (even if it didn't take as long as some others), with the difficulty being very inconsistent (stage four is easily the hardest stage in the game and stage five is a total joke, comparatively speaking) with loads of cheap deaths. It's easy for something to just go entirely wrong if you fall slightly behind. Regardless, I still enjoyed this game despite the frustration it caused me, but that cheapness, man...damn. Game's frustrating as heCk is what i'm sayin' here. 8/10
