Ten mayors from the Mid-Cities of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metropolitan area, with their army of volunteers, recently covered Army red kettle sites all over their cities. The mayors get credit for money raised at red kettle sites where they secure volunteers. The more volunteers the mayors recruit, the more sites they can cover. The more sites they cover, the more funds they can raise in the one-day contest.

The day was memorable, sunny and warm, with many willing volunteers, including: school children, Boy Scouts, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, community groups, families, movie characters, Police, and the 2018 Pickle Queen! Over $100,000 was raised with Mayor David Cook, City of Mansfield, raising the most, 9 out of the 10 years!
