Since 1979 The Salvation Army throughout the USA has included the Angel Tree Program in its Christmas ministry to the marginalized.

Now over 1 million donors annually provide much needed items for children and seniors, by taking a tag from the “Angel Tree” in the Mall or an office and purchasing from the list submitted by the parents. These gifts are then sorted and distributed along with food and other needed items just before Christmas.

The news of Jesus Christ’s birth is made known to parents of the children, along with Christian love and a smile.

2019 will mark the 30th year of The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree.
