Sam Smith’s “Love Goes” - 2020 Compact Disc Review
This is a review of the 2020 Compact Disc of Sam Smith’s “Love Goes.” This is their third studio album from the lockdown years (2020 and 2021). Now, a little background: Sam Smith is a British singer-songwriter, who is known for their “elastic falsetto voice,” according to Apple Music’s description. Sam Smith uses “they/them” pronouns and identifies as gender fluid and nonbinary. This means they do not fit in any aspect of the gender binary. This CD was released by Capitol Records UK, a division of Universal Music Operations Limited. This was under exclusive license in the US to Capitol Records America, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc. The tracks listed on this compact disc include “Diamonds,” “My Oasis” - featuring Nigerian singer Burna Boy, and “Promises” - featuring Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. I hope you enjoy the show and learn that “after it all, I still believe love is the answer. And with Love in our hearts, and kindness in our words and actions, we sing on.” 💿🎶🎼🎵🎤
