This is a playthrough using Zankuro Minazuki in the Arcade version of Samurai Shodown 3. Read on below for more information...

Zankuro is the end boss of the game. He can be legitimately selected through an input command, but can only be used in a 2-player versus game. Third party methods must be used to select him for a 1-player game.

===== HOW TO SELECT ZANKURO =====

In a 2-player game, on the character select screen, do and input the following:

Highlight Haohmaru, hold the START button and press Left, Left, Down, Right, Right, Up, Right, Down, Right, Right, Up, Left, Left. Your cursor should now be on Shizumaru. Now wait for the timer count to reach 03 seconds, and then press LS + MS (A + B) together with the START button still held down. If you've done it right, Zankuro's icon will appear and he'll be selected.

If either player wins the match with Zankuro, they will be taken back to the 1P character select screen to select a regular character, meaning that you cannot play through a 1-player game with him.

===== TECHNICAL INFORMATION =====

---- Despite being a non-selectable character in 1P mode, he can appear and operate on the Continue and Rankings screens.

---- Despite being a non-selectable character in 1P mode, the CPU opponents sure as heck know how to deal with him...

---- When playing as him in 1P mode, every time you win a match you go back to the character select screen. This is because of the way it operates in 2-player mode with Zankuro selected as explained earlier. You will need to keep selecting Zankuro every time this happens to progress.

---- In the "mirror" match against CPU Kuroko, Kuroko transforms into Haohmaru instead. These two characters are not supposed to fight each other.

---- When playing as him in 1P mode, when you get to CPU Zankuro, beat his 1st phase and go into the final round fight against him, if you beat CPU Zankuro here it will go back to the character select screen via a blank while screen meaning that you cannot see anything... but it is still operational here (you can hear the music and cursor sounds) and you can select your character and go into the fight against CPU Zankuro again. Unfortunately this is an infinite loop (or at least it appears to be so) meaning you cannot progress from here.

---- When playing as him in 1P mode, you do not get any of the cutscenes because you have to go back to the character select screen after winning a match.

---- In Bust mode, he doesn't appear to have any obvious differences in his special moves.
