Samurai Shodown (Arcade) - Haohmaru (Level 8) 1CC
Playing through the first weapon based fighting game on level 8, the hardest setting on 1 credit. This run took me over 2 months to pull off, the AI in this is annoyingly difficult. They read button inputs, block a lot, have fast recovery on all their attacks and they have no problem throwing you to death if you just sitting there holding block. What sets the Samurai Shodown series apart from other fighting games is that there's little to no combos to memorize and try to land in a match. The series is less about landing combos and more about spacing and timing single attacks which does tons of damage when you land them, almost the same amount of damage as a combo in other fighting games lol. So it's basically a waiting game to see who screws up first. Just like any other fighting game AI, you have to trick them into doing things that you want them to do such as jumping at you and throwing out unsafe moves so you can counter attack them. The AI in Samurai Shodown can be inconsistent and tricking them isn't always going to work, so 1cc runs may take a few attempts to pull off. I might try to 1cc with some more characters, but if I can't do that I'll just switch to a different game XD.
