Ieyasu Tokugawa, the weak minor daimyo of Mikawa had no coice but to serve Yoshimoto Imagawa, a great daimyo. When Yoshimoto decided it was time to move on the capital, he had no choice but to follow him. They advanced west down the Tokaido and approached Owari, the domain of the Oda clan. The Oda were a small force led by Nobunaga Oda, known otherwise as "The Fool" meaning that victory against them was all but certain for the Imagawa. Ieyasu, however, having known Nobunaga since he was young, sensed a frightening darkness in him. He would later discover what stoked his fears...
