Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on February 4th, and had a good day operating Lionel Acela and my recently received Lionel Rocket Booster train set. The Acela ran good throughout the day with no issues and also ran great on December 31th and January 7th. The new replacement Bistro car is working perfectly as well; it isn’t quite assembled right by the factory interior wise. But I found a lot of my original Acela coach cars are like this too and they still operate fine, so I’m not going to mess with it or have it sent in to have that fixed just yet.
The Acela train ran perfectly fine for almost the entire day, but then the tether on the lead engine decided to let go about 15 minutes after I finished filming all the video clips. I attempted to fix the tether, but the threads of the screw barely held from slight tension. So I put it away after this.
