Went down to the San Diego 3-Railers on June 4th, and had a good day operating my usual Schnabel train and my Santa Fe Blue goose excursion train. Everything ran smoothly for the entire day and no issues came up, except for half of the traction tires on the BNSF Genset decided to become stretched somehow. I replaced 3/4 of them that day, but would have replaced all of them if I didn’t need to go search for replacements on the parts store (I left one alone so I had a brand new one to measure).
Also apologies for the background noise, one of the members let a kid hang out in the layout area this time and he was a bit too excited around the trains. He wasn’t causing any problems, but he was having trouble keeping his excitement in.
All of the footage is in 1080p60. Some parts will be a bit dark, due to the FPS.
1st clip (00:00): BNSF 1228 starts up and rolls out the Schnabel train
2nd to 19th clips (01:52): Schnabel train rolls by on various points of the layout. Club member’s freight train train rolls by in a few of the clips too.
20th clip (11:49): BNSF 1228 ties down its train, in a siding, and shuts down for the day
