The audio is horrible as I wasn't planning on saying anything, but it is there. I tried to boost it the best I could 😅

I generally in a lukewarm way wanted to participate in the agbic jam. I had shortlisted a bunch of covers but my work sort of picked up it's pace all of a sudden and I wasn't really able to do anything.

I had also committed myself to doing a tiny game project and that took most of all the tiny tiny free time I had beyond life, commute and work.

So when the chance presented itself in I thought maybe we can try.

The inital idea revolved around dungeon crawling word game, something which I was playing around back in 2017ish. But that got tossed out mostly due to the scope (I really only started on this about 18 hours left in the month long jam).

I wasn't super sure about the word game part of the idea because but I set out to make a dungeon generator (refurbishing some old c++ code I had written into c# with considerable upgrades)

I knew I wanted the player to move around the dungeon and then have encounters (like a mini game). So I set out to add a player and movement.

I felt that the mini game idea is out of scope for the half day (or less) that I have to work on this so I thought maybe a simpler more direct mechanic would be better suited for this.

I thought of what a direct approach would be like and then settled on something like Arnold Rauers Card Thief - http://www.arnoldrauers.com/ which is a dungeon crawling game (as far as I could remember 😅 - note, I didn't bother to reinstall and check how it played).

So this is where we are aftwr that effort.
