So as far as I know, McGuirk found these, not me.

There are 2 interesting things about the Egg Golem. First, if you survive him squishing you on the left wall (using debug mode, for instance), you can see that he backpedals, rather fast. This is somewhat mysterious, because the player was never meant to survive.
Secondly, if you look at his right, you'll see some jumbled background data that follows the Egg Golem's moves. Neo explains it in the post after McGuirk's.
