In this video, Satan, released in 1990 for the Atari ST by Dinamic.
Satan have seized your world and you are a barbarian who wants to free it from all the evil creatures. But brute force isn't enough to beat the big boss, you have to learn magic and its secrets. So your quest begin in this Black Tiger-like game with less action and more exploration. Every minion you destroy it releases a coin that can be collected to use in shops. Obvoiusly at the end of the stage there's also a boss that you must defeat. To complete the various levels you have a limited time; I learned about this, only when it reached zero and I died just in front of a boss.
The game looks good with defined sprites, brilliant backgrounds and good omni-directional scrolling. The sound is completely digitized but we have no music so the game feels a bit empty. The initial impact of the game is great but when played you discover that there is not that much action. You wander around searching for the exit, occasionally killing some monster in a nearly complete silence environment. One thing I hate is that unavoidable falling bulders that mercilessly hit you without warning.
