SCP: Secret Laboratory | No Mic SCP-939 Gameplay | From The Jaws of Defeat
At 14:40 my last remaining teammate, SCP-079, tries to kill me with a manual activation of the tesla gate.
Sorry about how grayscale the footage is. Youtube compression removes much of the contrast, and in-game, visibility is pretty poor to begin with in order to simulate SCP-939's "blindness"; you can only see sounds in your environment as expanding circles in the distance. Crouching, which prepares you for a lunge, allows your eyesight to extend out to a distance of about five metres, and also colours sound bubbles so you know what class is making them (e.g. MTF, Chaos, or SCP).
SCP-939's basic swipe melee attack deals 40 damage out of 100 HP. It was recently nerfed from a 0.6s cooldown to 0.8s, greatly reducing SCP-939's ability to fight head-on. Its secondary attack, Lunge, can be triggered if you spend a few seconds crouching. Lunge sends you a fair distance and instantly kills anyone you hit. You can redirect your momentum mid-air, for some pretty comical around-the-corner instakills. However, leaving crouch and ending a lunge both leave you slow and vulnerable for around a second and a half.
SCP-939 can also emit a cloud of amnestic gas which manifests as a circular lattice on the floor. Humans cannot see the cloud. When they stand inside of it, a very quiet ambience plays which clues them into the fact that they're standing in the cloud. Its main function is that it stops humans who're inside the cloud from perceiving SCP-939 unless it attacks, thus acting as a kind of pseudo-invisibility. Adrenaline lets humans ignore the amnestic cloud for a short duration.
SCP-939 is also capable of mimicking most sounds in the game including SCP footsteps, weapon fire, human running, item usage, and even explosions. I don't use this ability however because opening the mimicry menu also shows a list of people you've killed and lets you replay their last spoken words out loud. This also reveals their usernames, which I was not keen to show off.
After SCP-049 died, my priority switched from protracting the round to winning as soon as possible, thus I got much more proactive in how I hunted. I was tempted to wait for the fifth and final spawn wave, but they would have arrived shortly before autonuke went off, and I couldn't really fight anyone on surface zone due to the lack of ambush spots and the presence of long sightlines.
17:50 to 20:00 for the part where I kill a bunch of really passive chaos insurgents.
41/56 SCP kills
