Scramble playthrough | Konami Arcade collection
0One of the original scrolling shmups, if not the very first. I used to have a game like this on Intellivision called Cobra. It was far superior to the other games but I didn’t learn until I the 2020’s that it was a rip-off of Scramble by Konami. This game is pretty easy going until the last part where you have to dodge through tunnels. It’s very hard with the screen auto-scrolling and the slow controls. I wanted to do this quickly so used save states as this was played on
Konami Arcade collection on Switch so I had a few games to get through. I enjoyed it though and I think if I was in the arcades on release, this would be one of my favourites.
