In this video you can see how to unlock the commendations of the new event of Sea of Thieves. There are 3 different kinds of statues to destroy:
- The Sapphire Cursed Mermaid Statues
- The Emerald Cursed Mermaid Statues
- The Ruby Cursed Mermaid Statues.

You can hear a noise when you're close to a statue underneath the water. They are located around different isles. We encountered some statues at the following places:

- N10 on the map
- Cannon Cove
- Crescent Isle
- Rapier Cay
- Sunken Grove
- Marauders Arch
- Old Faithful Isle
- Lone Cove
- Picaroon Palm
- Smugglers Bay
- Sandy Shallow
- Sailors bounty

The blue and green statues can be done solo. The red one is the hardest one. In this video we did it with another crew. But you can also do it solo with some help of a gunpowder. You can see how to do this in the following link:

Note: Keep your distance from the statues as far as possible so you don't get hurted.
