So you want to be a pirate but aren't sure about the full price cost of the game?
Well, there be 4 options to play the game
Option 1, pay full price and have access to the game forever.
Option 2, get Xbox Game Pass monthly subscription.
Option 3, the free 14 day trial of Xbox Game Pass.
or
Option 4, find a preowned copy to pay less than full price.

(What is Xbox Play Anywhere?)
Something to consider if you’re gonna pay full price.
The digital purchase of the game from the Microsoft Store, gives you the Xbox Play Anywhere version of the game. Giving you access to freely play across pc and xbox.

You’re probably wondering, what the hell is Xbox Game Pass? It's just like netflix, but for xbox games.
The library is limited, and PC players - only Xbox Play Anywhere games work on PC, so make sure to check out the offerings to see if it's of value to you.

Speaking of our PC players, you may have heard that Xbox requires Xbox Live Gold to play multiplayer?
Not true for PC players, only Xbox players require Xbox Live Gold.

Well, if nothing else interests you on Xbox Game Pass, that subscription cost will eventually be greater than the outright purchase cost.

So how do you sign up for Xbox Game Pass exactly?
It should be fairly easy on the Xbox One, head over to the store, search Xbox Game Pass, Pick your subscription. Now you’ve done that, search Sea of Thieves and install.
For PC, let me simplify the process,
You’ll need Windows 10, open the Microsoft Store app, search Xbox Game Pass,
Pick any game from what shows up. Click Get Xbox Game Pass, Pick your subscription. Now you’ve done that, search Sea of Thieves and install.
Trying via the website will just cause you nothing but trouble.
