Sean Plays Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (Nintendo Switch)
Decades after the CD-I, Nintendo has finally released a Zelda game where you play as Zelda. But what kind of game is it?
While it has the visual style of the Link's Awakening Switch remake, Echoes of Wisdom makes some big changes to the usual Zelda play style. Instead of direct sword-to-enemy action, Princess Zelda is more like a mage in an MMORPG, who can use indirect tools and call for assistance to do the hard DPS work for her. (There is one specific exception, buy why give you spoilers this early?) The game starts in media res where Link confronts Gannon, but quickly it's up to the trapped princess to save the day!
We'll start the game from the beginning, compare to Link's Awakening, and see how far we can get in 90 minutes!
