This is a playthrough of the unused/secret Special Stages from Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic CD, Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles which I did on my phone. These special stages (with the exception of the one for S&K) are much harder to beat than the other special stages in each respective game (Sonic 1 and Sonic 3's are by far the hardest to beat).

Featuring the 7th special stage created specifically for the mobile version of Sonic 1. You can access it:
By selecting a no-save file,
Tapping "S" "E" "G" "A" when the SEGA logo appears (you should hear a ring noise).
Then on the title sreen press both of your thumbs against the areas roughly where the touchscreen in-game controls would appear (bottom left & right) and you will be transported to level select.
Then on the level select screen enter "06" on the sound-test, play the track then select "special stage" and the unused seventh special stage will play.

This special stage is really unfair.

Featuring the 8th special stage created specifically for the mobile version of Sonic 2. You can access it:

A very tough challange. You can't afford to get hit once by the bombs!

Featuring the 8th special stage from Sonic CD which can only be accessed by doing the following:
You need to have unlocked sound-test in Sonic CD by clearing all special stages in time-attack mode with a combined total time of under 4 minutes.
Then enter the numbers "7" "7" in sound-test mode and the 8th unused special stage will start.

It's a really neat special stage with Dr. Eggmans face always looking at you no matter which way you turn!

Featuring the unused 8th special stage from Sonic 3 which can only be accessed by doing the following ( I played using the Sonic 3 Complete hack):
When Sonic is on a swinging vine in Angel Island zone press: left left left, right right right, up up up on the d-pad. Then press start and A to be transported to level-select.
Then on the level select screen, enter "07" on the sound-test, play the track, then select "special stage A" and the unused seventh special stage will play.

The counter-clockwise spiral becomes insanely fast....

Featuring the unused 8th special stage from Sonic & Knuckles which can only be accessed by doing the following ( I played using the Sonic 3 Complete hack):
When Sonic is on the metal climbing frame in Mushroom Hill, press: left left left, right right right, up up up on the d-pad. Then press start and A to be transported to level-select.
Then on the level select screen, enter "07" on the sound-test, play the track then select "special stage B" and the unused seventh special stage will play.

This is a much easier special stage compared to Sonic 3.
