First of all, I would like to give a huge apology for the bad quality of the video. Earlier on in my recordings, I had those issues with the size of my videos due to not compressing them. To counter that, I changed codec to this one : it would be less pretty (as you can notice), but that would cut 60~70% of the size when compared to the previous codec I used. I used this codec for ten or eleven videos before I found better, so the next ten or so videos will be like this, and then it will look pretty again.

Enough about that, on with my comments related to the battle itself. This is by far the hardest battle of chapter 1. I failed it four or five times while testing stuff out. I tried with four archers with or without Battle Skill, getting on top of the building, and killing enemies one by one. I tried a black magic full-out offensive against Algus (but I didn't have better than Ice 2). I tried a more "regular" party consisting of Ramza as a monk with Equip Armor, an archer with Battle Skill, a priest with Black Magic and someone else with Time Magic. I almost won, but not quite. I initially intended to upload one of these fails (one of them was a very interesting battle), but I decided against it after all because of some other issue.

So I thought, "Okay, what other monsters are available to me at this point?". I checked the list of monster guests that join from random battles in chapter 1 (as I just don't like using mediators), and while the Uribo caught my eye, I noticed I could get a Bomb. Eureka?

In one of the recent patches, Bombs' monster skill is a lot better than it used to be. It is not only decently strong, but it's also a huge AoE, and it can be used to heal the Bomb, to boot. I pondered that and decided to try it out, and I also bred a second Bomb for that purpose. Then I went with two chemists with the idea that I can easily go with a defensive approach while the Bombs do the job. After all, if a Bomb dies, I can resurrect it and have it Self Destruct, and repeat. Flawless plan?

Actually, yeah! Living Fire is even better than I initially expected! This is my first attempt with this plan, and my first time using a Bomb in FFT 1.3. This was way too easy! I mean, geez, this is ridiculous! Watch me turn a rather difficult battle into a total cakewalk. Now, as it's my first time using Bombs, I wasn't used to them, so I sometimes went a bit slowly, and wasn't too sure how to handle Algus at the end, but bear with me here.

Also, Ramza learned some level 3 magic which, trust me, will see some use in chapter 2. Nice.

Enjoy. Try not to mind the questionable quality. My apologies for the slight sound delay and the sound being rather loud and stuff. At least I'm getting better at it now...
