In this battle, we get to see a taste of monsters' new abilities.

The Bomb's "Bite" was replaced by "Flame Attack", a three-panel ranged fire-based attack. A new skill is Douse, an AoE debuff that can inflict the "oil" status. An enemy that is inflicted by that status takes double damage from the next fire attack. Douse otherwise does no damage. And the ever awesome (or horribly painful) Self Destruct has not changed. They have a new reaction ability : Critical Quick! So be careful with those bombs because you don't want to put one in critical only for it to explode in the middle of all your characters!

The Goblins' Spin Fist has improved over the original game's version : it's now an AoE two cells everywhere around the user. Monks' Spin Fist get the same upgrade, making it a bit more usable.

I brought last battle's Red Panther with me. And with good reason : I teached Monster Skill to Ramza, Delita, Algus, and most of my generics. So I will make sure that my panther uses his fourth ability (Seal) a lot. Seal is an attack that can be used from a range of 5 cells, which is very good. It's not all that powerful in comparison to other monsters' extra skill, to be honest. However, it has a chance to inflict status, which is always good.

Anyway, I made short work of this battle. It was honestly very easy, and I think that Archael should put back the sixth monster (a Red Panther) that was removed in version 1.3030. I mean, I know I'm playing easytype, but this battle would still have been a cakewalk in the regular 1.3 patch, if you're just careful with the Bombs.

Near the end of the video, when the battle was in the bag, I started attacking some of my characters with my chemist (for job experience) and not playing optimally. Don't mind it too much. It doesn't look too good, but you can tell I had little reason to try too hard by then, and I made some silly mistakes. That's unimportant though.

P.S. : I apologize for the text looking weird. I messed with some setting. It all looks fine again in the following videos.

Extra P.S. : The AI is dumb and doesn't always use Self Destruct when it should. 'nuff said.
