Zirekile Falls is not really difficult, but it tends to drag on. It's a battle I find rather boring (but awesome storyline-wise).
Unlike vanilla, there is no "unequip Gafgarion to make him useless" trick. He's fully equipped no matter what you do. However, he's one of the few "boss types" that is susceptible to some status effects, such as Sleep or Don't Act. It doesn't take much more than this to understand how I brought him down.
The lancers are a bit annoying to kill (and keep dead), but they are not really dangerous. Delita can hold his own on one side (although he doesn't annihilate all opposition like in vanilla), and Ovelia has not only multiple uses of Mbarrier, but also Holy. Both of these guests combined makes this battle a walk in the park.
This time, I corrected my mistake from Araguay Woods, and Sara can now use Bahamut properly. And I did make sure she use it! My other characters didn't have as much offense, but I could dish out the damage when needed, and bring Gafgarion down after Don't Acting him. In case you are unaware, not only does Don't Act prevent reaction abilities, but it also cuts all evasion, making him a lot easier to hit.
