Sentinels of the Multiverse - Deadline vs. Lifeline at the Maerynian Refuge
For the next mirror match, Lifeline must stop himself from destroying an environment that I did not quite realize is actually fairly friendly to heroes (until it was too late).
Sadly, you don't get to see all of the environment since Deadline nukes it immediately. However, the good news is that both Lifeline and Luminary can destroy large amounts of ongoing cards, so we can prevent him from flipping again until the end of the game. In the mean time, you get to see the Harpy cut loose and see me barely keep her tokens under control. Additionally, Akash gets to drop some seeds in the environment that offer some support here and there. Sadly, the tree makes its entrance fairly late into the fray, but you get to see how Harpy can deal with backlash, which makes her a very valuable member of the Dark Watch.
Overall, I am not as impressed by Lifeline here as I was by Luminary. I do get him set up so you can see him repeatedly blast the enemy with his ongoing cards, but I don't get the devices I was hoping to get. On the flip side, we get to see almost everything Luminary and Harpy have to offer while even getting to witness a combo of Commadora. I would say I'm satisfied more by this game since we got to see more of the environment and most decks, but Deadline is fairly tame against this group. Maybe Capitan will be a little different...
