Setting The Stage | Farthest Frontier - Part 17 (Settlement Survival Game)
196Farthest Frontier continues and we get all cultured and fancy as we build our very first theatre! It's quite a nice building, if a little heavy on the resources, and it helps to raise desirability in quite a wide area so we see a spate of residential upgrades!
We also upgrade our little healer's hut into a proper hospital, and immediately we then have problems with people's conditions getting worse, but I think that's due to the game being updated rather than the skills of our medics!
Project Wall continues across the 'top' of the settlement (is there a top? I'm not sure!) although it still doesn't seem to be stopping the animals coming in and nibbling our crops!
We do notice that many of our items that rely on hunting, such as shoes and soap, are in very short supply, so we hurriedly build some more hunters huts to try to alleviate the issue.
Also we buy quite a lot of big hitty weapons, there's a not very hot heatwave and we build more lovely decoratives.

All Them Old-Timey Diseases! - Ensure your villagers have clean water to stop outbreaks of dysentery and cholera. Collect berries and plant greens to avoid scurvy and ensure a healthy diet. Make sure villagers are properly shoed and clothed to reduce chances of contracting tetanus, rabies or frostbite. Build a healer’s house to quarantine the infected and provide herbs and medicine for treatment.
Fend Off Would-Be Invaders - Choose to play on pacifist and avoid combat altogether or engage with varying levels of raider difficulty to raise the stakes for your town’s survival. Progress from wood palisades to stone walls, build towers and barracks, recruit and equip soldiers in the defense of your town.
