I think it's a good way to improve your tsurugi, but i feel it's still better to use jump, then tsurugi. It's possible to do it without the punch plink, but i get worse results without. The QCB must be done very quick, but you must wait a little bit after the jump to push the kick button, or Makoto wont have reached the minimum height required to perform a tsurugi. This is a way to do an instant air tsurugi. You may also use that to change your mind after a buffered karakusa.
