This trick was doable in the original Xbox 360 version of the game by setting up a corner warp right next to the mine cart in the long tunnel room. Since the remastered version fixed the glitchy fall that causes corner warping, I had to figure out a different way and it turns out that performing a foam Z-slide followed by ground pound does the job.

It MAY save time depending on the route but the quicker you get it done, the less time you lose for not messing it up too often.
