Shadowless is a 2D action platformer side-scroller by Dragosha Games (Griman).
You play as a an unnamed hero on a quest to regain his lost shadow from the villainous Queen of Shadows. However, between your starting point and her castle is a series of levels containing a bunch of enemies. Thankfully, the levels are not too long or difficult, so dying is only a minor setback.
Compared to Dragosha Games's previous outing, Baron's Door, this game is on the easier side. Thanks to the RPG elements and stat upgrades, you usually don't need to worry about being one-shot or two-shot by enemies. Plus, there are no headshots to worry about. Even the mini-bosses and bosses are generally less are of a threat. It's certain enemies which pose a threat due to the inability to aim with the mouse anymore.
This game is certainly more linear though. There are optional side-dungeons which are more difficult than the current level, but they aren't too bad. You can't pick the order of levels like you could in Baron's Door. Unlike their previous titles though, this also has some replay value with the New Game Plus system. By beating the game, you are sent back to the beginning with all of your stats and equipment, and the difficulty multiplier is raised by 1.
The game is certainly more buggy too. I had the game freeze on me on two parts while recording this. Apparently, other people have had the same issue.
Overall, this is a rather short and fun title. I do wish the combat was more involved like with Baron's Door though.
