It's cool re-watching my take on a potential Kickstarter for Shenmue 3 back on March 5, 2013. Little did I know at the time that 883 days later, our dream of Shenmue would be a reality!!!
The Shenmue 3 Kickstarter was announced by Yu Suzuki during Sony's 2015 STACKED E3 Press Conference on June 15, 2015. The minimum pledge goal was $2 million and was surpassed in under 9 hours (despite Kickstarter downtime due to the ferocity of thousands of Shenmue fans) to not only surpass the initial pledge goal but also smash two records along the way (fastest $1 and $2 million pledged). We're working on stretch goals now and if you were a fan of Shenmue, then Big Mike and I ask you to seriously consider being a part of the best Kickstarter of all time (link above)!
