Mission Objectives:
The mission begins after escaping from Vault 111 and achieving Level 2 or higher.
For those using an "alternate start" mod, the mission begins when achieving
Level 2 or higher and being outdoors anywhere in the Commonwealth.
Part 1 - "Idle Curiosity..."
---STEP 1: Enter Vault 111:
Travel to Vault 111, press Red Button in the Security Hut that activates the Vault Elevator and head down.
Search for the remembered item:
Proceed into the interior vault, to the room with the large generators where the objective's marker is positioned. Take the marked item (An Odd Device) from the open carton.
Read the Note:
Read or Read/Take the Note (Work Request) in that same carton.
---STEP 2: Travel to Concord:
Travel southeast to the town of Concord.
Search the shop that sells hardware and electronics:
Across the street from the Museum is a shop containing household goods and electronics. Behind the counter, is an open carton. Take "Special Orders" folder from the carton.
---STEP 3: Travel to Wattz Electronics:
Proceed southeast to the Wattz Consumer Electronics building in Cambridge.
Search inside Wattz for an Electronics Analyzer:
Upon entering the Wattz building, look directly across to the far wall. There is a door to the right on that wall. Go in and take the Electronics Analyzer from a shelf.
----STEP 4: Travel to Vault-Tec Regional HQ:
Proceed southeast to the Vault-Tec Regional Headquarters building.
Search offices for something that advances your investigation:
Find and Read a note (Gentle Reminder) that rests on a desk on that floor, this is optional.
Proceed up two levels to the top floor. One of the rooms contains a desk with a
terminal belonging to Mr. Davidson. Take key from the left side of the terminal and unlock the desk. Take "Confidential Documents" folder.
Part 2 - Shield Bubble

Read the information that is presented.
----STEP 5: Travel to Poseidon Energy:
Proceed northward to the Poseiden Energy Turbine #18-F building in Cambridge.
Search the Turbine Facility:
Enter the building and walk down the stairways to the flooded chamber and go into the control room. Observe for a moment the miniature power generators. Then Read or Read/Take the
Note that is closest to those generators. It is labeled "Got Another One".
Read the Other Note:
Read or Read/Take the second Note. It is labeled "Same Problem".
----STEP 6: Travel to Newton:
Proceed southwest to Newton area of Massachusetts.
Your destination is the "Electrical Hobbyist's Club".
Acquire Replacement Parts:
Enter the building via one of the doors. Or climb up onto the roof and then drop down inside through a damaged area. Once inside, locate the door to the the basement and then go there.
While in the basement, find and take these three (3) replacement parts:
Some Assembly Required:(automatic sequence)
Wait a short while as your character repairs the Shield Bubble Generator. Once that work is completed the item will be placed in the AID section of the player character's inventory.
To use the Shield Bubble Generator, click it and then exit the Pip-Boy display. See the How To Use It section below for further details.
How To Use It:
Open the AID section of the player character's inventory and click the Shield Bubble Generator item. Then exit the Pip-Boy display.
The shield bubble appears, and is centered on the player. It maintains a centered position as the character moves.
After 30 seconds has elapsed the bubble disappears and the generator begins its 20 minute recharge cycle.
***Sleeping, Waiting, and Fast Travel will automatically complete the recharging process***
To see the time remaining during recharge, click the Shield Bubble Generator [recharging] item then exit the Pip-Boy display.
