Shifter is a mind boggling platform puzzle game, you need to guide the explorer and help him get to the exit in every level, getting to the exit won't be that easy though as the path to the exit is blocked, you need to shift the blocks or platforms to be able to facilitate a passage, you also need to provide power to the exit for it to open, otherwise, you won't be able to get through the level, if your character falls off the platforms, he dies and you'll have to restart the level again. The game features a total of twenty challenging levels for you to solve, each of these levels features a variety of environments for you to manipulate, and if you're good enough, you may just guide the little explorer to the exit. You will start out easy but eventually, the levels will start to become more challenging, more blocks and platforms will appear making it harder for you to get to the exit. Indeed, it is not going to be that easy completing the objectives, it will take some amount of brain power to get the job done. Will you take on the challenge and guide the little guy to the exit?, Are your skills enough to complete all 20 levels of the game?, Play and find out.

Graphics and Sound

The game's graphic designs are very simple, the character is a small guy with not much detail, all you can see is its big circular head and hat, you can hardly see its hands and feet, he looks kinda cute though even with very little detail. The environments too although very simple look quite nice, it features simple backdrops with varying platform designs, the colors used are also cool, they are generally soft to the eyes and really nice to look at, even the color combinations are kinda nice, Movements and animations are very simple, the movement of the character is responsive while the animated parts have very simple and fluid movements. The game music is quite simple but soothing by the way, which makes it quite cool for games of this type while the sound effects used in the levels are generally nice too, nothing ambient or 3D really. The SFX on the other hand is also simple the game doesn't feature anything fabulous or groundbreaking, not that it needs one really. Overall, it still looked kinda nice really, even if the designs and presentations are very simple all throughout.

Gameplay

The game is pretty simple to play, and the goal for every level is pretty much the same, you need to move the blocks around by shifting and open up a passage for the little guy, you need to provide power to the exit too, you need to make a connection from the power core to the exit, sounds easy?...not really, it starts out simple but soon, the levels becomes more complex and harder to solve. Controls are quite easy to learn by the way, you can use the arrow keys or the WASAD keys to move the character and blocks and the space bar to shift.

Features

Shifter has some very simple graphics and presentation, it is a puzzle platform game, there are 20 levels available for you to solve and it uses easy to learn controls to maximize the fun.

Conclusion

Great game, it is not really as easy as it looks, it gets more complicated every time you move up a level, if you enjoy puzzle games, you should check this one out, you'll have a great time for sure.
