Shila - Commodore 64 - longplay
Included in Computronic 1987/11-12.
Some sort of Alien [CP Verlag] prequel ( • Alien [CP Verlag] - Commodore 64 - Real Ha... ).
Many many many many thanks to minotaurus for playing this endless game! He did 3 and half hours of play, then he he got so mad he edited game variables to see what happens when you arrive at the maximum yards (26:44).
Let's read some notes he wrote:
A simple game that H.J. Baier developed just to show off his beautiful female sprite called Shila (in her next game she will also have the surname) and as a "programming exercise".
The goal of this game is to travel as many yards as possible in this sort of alien planet, in other words a challenge to reach the highest score..
We will face obstacles on the ground (mines and poisonous spiders), in the air (boulders that bounce if we do not neutralize them before their impact with the ground), life forms similar to Sheikhs/Bedouins of the desert and arrows that are a little reminiscent of Aztec Challenge.
The game does not have pre-established patterns but random ones, and it is procedural. This unfortunately makes certain situations almost impossible to avoid, so you also need luck to travel as far as possible.
I like to think that this game is a sort of "boot camp" for Shila, to prepare her for the real mission of the next game :D
