The highly anticipated "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor" was finally released by Atlus in the US on the 23th of June 2009. There's been a lot of discussion in the comments section of my previous Devil Survivor video about the game's overall presentation, but whether you approve of the heavily stylized anime art design or not there's no denying that a pretty complex roleplaying experience is buried beneath the colorful visuals (in fact, even 1UP's veteran JRPG reviewer Jeremy Parish describes the game as "hard as hell").

The unusual combination of SRPG mechanics with first person battles coupled with a familiar Megaten demon fusion system means there's plenty of room for both tactical depth and customization.

Also, the series trademark sense of impending doom is further reinforced by the distressing fact that only seven in-game days are allowed to pass before The World Ends With You (sorry, couldn't resist that), making prudent time management a must if one hopes to be successful at this game.
