An intriguing tale set in a fantasy world where music is imbued with magical properties, developer Brian Moriarty's highly atmospheric classic Loom is an "adventure game" if there ever was one. The note-based puzzle gameplay is as unique today as it was in 1990, and the distinctive plot and settings are among the most memorable in the genre. There was even an "audio drama" (which can be found elsewhere here on YouTube) produced to further flesh out the backstory and mythology of the game world, and it's really sad that the plans to make a game trilogy were scrapped.

Note: I included the Steam loading screen and the game's window border in order to highlight the fact that I was playing the Steam version and not some DOSBox emulation of the original version.
