Shining Force: Gaiden - Configuration Mode (Sega Game Gear) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs
665This is an English translation patch of Shining Force: Gaiden for the Sega Game Gear. This game was remade along with Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya in Shining Force CD (on Sega CD). But this particular handheld title was never released in North America.
Reviews say this game is pretty great, so I checked it out, and those reviews were CORRECT. I hopped back and forth between a few battles and had a blast. The configuration mode cheat code made it particularly easy.
When the Sega logo first appears, press Up, Down, Up, 2, 1, Right, Left, Up, Down, Up, 2, 1, Right, Left. You'll hear a sound effect to confirm. Then, start a new game or continue a file, and eventually you will be taken to the Configuration Menu.
It's got a battle select option, you can choose your party, you can give yourself money, and you can level up your characters. There's also a ton of other stuff this code can do.
