Should You Buy An AMD or Intel Processor? (What's The Difference Between Intel & AMD CPUs!)
Should you buy an AMD or Intell CPU? Well, that is exactly what we go over in this video. I break down all of the differences between Intel and AMD processors and give you the best use cases for each of these processors. The differences between Intel and AMD CPUs have never been so close, and that is why I made this video to break them down!

About this video: In this video, we take an in-depth look at AMD and Intel processors in order to show you the difference between the two. I break them down in terms of value and gaming in order to help you decide if you should buy an AMD or Intel Processor for your gaming PC in 2018! Let's get on into it!
As far as value goes, AMD processors are usually cheaper than comparable Intel CPUs. On the low end, there is about a $10 difference in price, but the real difference appears once you start climbing up the latter. The Threadripper 1900X is the competitor to the Core i7-7820X. The price difference is $150 between these two processors, and the only downside with going for the AMD chip is that in consumes 40 more watts of power.
For a cheaper price, AMD Threadripper CPUs have higher base clocks and a larger amount of shared cache all while consuming more power and having lower peak clock speeds than the Intel X-Series chips.
So what does this mean for you? Well, overall, both AMD and Intel are making processors that perform very close to one another on nearly every front — price, power, and performance. Intel chips tend to offer better performance per core, but AMD is compensating with more cores at a given price while offering more shared cache. If budget is your biggest factor, your best bet is going to be AMD.
Now, what about gaming? Well, I'm going to assume that if you're looking to game that you're also going to have a dedicated graphics card. With that assumption, Intel tends to dominate in gaming performance simply because of how AMD and Intel make their processors. AMD's CPUs are excellent at multi-threaded workloads and great at running programs that support multiple cores. Intel's chips, however, offer almost the reverse of that losing out in heavy multi-threaded applications but excelling in more restricted thread settings.
Games still rarely use more than two to four threads, and because of that, Intel gets the edge when it comes to gaming.
So, overall, if you're looking for the best budget options, AMD is the winner, but if gaming is your number one option, Intel just barely wins out.
Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, please give the video a thumbs up and be sure to subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. It really helps us out, and it means a lot. Thank you very, very much in advance!
