About this video: This video showcases an incredible budget VR gaming PC build. If you are looking to get into virtual reality gaming, this a great gaming PC to get you started. It will work perfectly with the Oculus Rift. The reason this build is possible is that Oculus recently lowered the minimum requirements for the Rift opening up a ton of new budget VR gaming PC options.
With that being said, let's get on into the build. For our CPU, we are going with an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X. This will be a great quad-core CPU that will let you game in virtual reality without any issues. We are going to need a motherboard to put this CPU in, however, and for that, we are going with an MSI B350M Pro-VH Plus. This will be a great motherboard allow for up to 32GB of RAM and plenty of expansion options for a micro ATX motherboard.
Speaking of RAM, I am recommending two 4GB sticks of RAM in this system for a total of 8GB of RAM. While this won't be enough RAM to how 300 Chrome tabs open, it will work perfectly for VR gaming with the Oculus Rift. Now moving on to our hard storage, we are going with a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue HDD. This will give us plenty of space for our operating system and any games we want to play.
So we've got most of the key components out of the way, but we are still missing the graphics, and for the GPU we are going with a 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti. This graphics card will be competent for virtual reality gaming, but you won't be playing on max settings, however, medium settings on most games should run great!
Now we aren't done with this build just yet. We still need a case and power supply, and for our case, we are going with a Cougar MX330. This is a great case that will allow for good cable management, and it has a clear side panel that will allow you to see the incredible PC you have built inside. Lastly, we need a power supply, and I never skimp here. Thus, we are going with a 550W Seasonic M12II fully modular power supply. This will give us great cable management options and tons of room for expansion!
