Shovel Knight - A Thousand Leagues Below [FamiTracker 8-bit, 2A03+VRC7]
408Some content storm, eh?~ I know, I know, it's been around ten days or so since the last time I uploaded something, but y'know, life and school and all that. But hey, I'm back to showing my FTMs again, in decent quality, no less, thanks to my chiptune buddy TheMudkipMaster12! (by the way guys you should check out themudkipmaster12 sometime he's reeeally gooooood)
And as you can see, this one is rather basic in terms of channel usage. A few channels go unused some of the time, but then again, I didn't really need to use them all for this song. However, I did try some more experimentation using VRC7 volume control (ergo, those Axy effects everywhere), and the custom patch I used for this one was actually a crash cymbal-like sound. That's why you can sometimes hear crashes going at the same time as the noise channel; those crashes aren't coming from a noise channel at all!
I also redid the percussion and bassline, because I had no reference for this and couldn't completely remember those parts. I had finished The Iron Whale in my New Game Plus playthrough of Shovel Knight when I started making this, so the theme was relatively fresh in my mind, but I pretty much did this from memory. There is Follin percussion though, so that counts for something, right?
