It's been a while since the last time I remixed something from Mario, and this one in particular was loooong overdue. This is one of my favorite songs in the Mario Kart series. I hope I did the song justice with this little remix of mine. :D
Nothing too interesting about the remix itself, so I don't think it'll be necessary to get technical like I normally do here. I will mention, however, that a lot of the chords were an absolute migraine to figure out, especially since I was limited to the VRC6 channels, not to mention I was once again going completely from memory. Listening to the two side-by-side, I'm proud of how it ended up sounding, but it isn't perfect. It was fun to use the pitch-sliding effects, though. I've always loved that.
It's kinda funny how much I like this song, considering that I absolutely hate Super Mario Kart as a game... I'm probably gonna get some hate for that, but oh well. It's just one of my many, many shitty opinions. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
