Unboxing and review of the Amazon Show Mode Dock for the all-new Fire HD 8 tablet, refreshed for 2018. We show you how to setup and use the Show Mode Dock with Amazon's tab - it's pretty easy, and turns the Fire HD into an Echo Show style device, complete with Alexa smarts and more.

You'll need to stick the Show Mode case onto the Fire HD 8 before use, although this doesn't add much bulk to the tablet thankfully. Dropping the tablet onto the dock then automatically activates Show Mode, as long as you've plugged in the device. You can also choose to deactivate this feature, so the Fire HD8 simply charges instead.

You can grab the Show Mode Dock from Amazon from October 4 2018, and it costs just £30 when bought with the Fire HD 8 tablet. That's £110 overall for the tab and this dock.
