On today's SHOWCASE I'm playing Turmoil, an oil-drilling tycoon game developed by the Amsterdam-based Gamious. Does the Netherlands have a lot of experience with oil drilling?
In Turmoil you take the role of an oil baron on the cusp of fortune, and must buy up land, drill and sell oil to compete with a few other zany characters. The game progressively gets harder, adding in different depths and materials, such as stone, to impede your drilling. At the end of each "round" you and your opponents can choose to upgrade their outfit before finally bidding on another lot of land. Alternatively, you can just buy them the fuck out!

SHOWCASE is a series in which I shed some light on a particular game, mod, or feature that I feel needs some attention. Really they can be about anything I want. Usually these are one-off videos, but as always if there is enough interest each SHOWCASE video has the potential of becoming its own full-fledged series.
