The lecture starts with types of haemoglobin which are HbA, HbA2 and HbF and then proceeds towards the phenomenon that how red blood cells become sickle in shape during sickle cell anemia. The lecture also includes symptoms of sickle cell anemia and an explanation for pain crisis during sickle cell disease.How point mutation affects the sequence of amino acids in beta chain of haemoglobin and the consequences of that base substitution gene mutation on haemoglobin functions are also elaborated completely.the lecture is important for mdcat, etea,neet and other entry tests as well as for class 11 and class 12. Sickle cell anemia is explained in Hindi and Urdu which is very beneficial for subcontinent's students.
