Phospholipids|structure of phospholipids and phosphatidic acid|phosphatidyl choline

In this lecture we discussed the structure of phospholipids. Phospholipids are basically class of lipids which are hydrophobic and hydrophilic at the same time. Phospholipids are derived from phosphatidic acid which has similarity to some extent with diglycerides. Four organic compounds, Choline, inositol,serine and ethanolamine arr the main structures of phospholipids which give phosphatidyl choline, phosphatidyl inositol, phosphatidyl serine and phosphatidyl ethanolamine respectively.
Phosphatidyl choline also known as Lecithin are most common phospholipids. What are phospholipids and their structure for class 11, mdcat, etea, neet and other entry tests, equally important.
