In this lecture we discussed a class of lipids, called fatty acids. Fatty acids are basically carboxylic acids having long chain of hydrocarbons. The classification and nomenclature of fatty acids is also discussed in details. These fatty acids make chains with phospholipids, waxes, acyl glycerides and prostaglandins. Hence fatty acids are very important to understand thoroughly. The lecture about fatty acids,is equally important for mdcat, etea , neet and other entry tests which include alot of basic concepts.
