This week for No-Nostalgia Retro Gaming the votes are for "Sid Meier's Pirates!", a MicroProse game which I THOUGHT was late on the C64, as my prior experience with it was actually the DOS version of "Pirates! Gold" from 1993, but it turns out the C64 version dates all the way back to 1987! :O

Other than that, it follows a similar gameplay pattern to a lot of Sid Meier's titles, with the theme here being about crossing the open oceans in search of fame and fortune in the 16th and 17th centuries!
