6In this final episode of King's Quest IV, Rosella has disposed of the wicked witch, Lolotte, and has been freed by Edgar, Lolotte's lovestruck son. With the weight of her father's malady on her shoulders, Rosella takes the final steps to tie up some loose ends: gathering up the artifacts that Lolotte forced her to steal on her behalf, and putting right the wrongs she was made to commit. Then, off to her fairy kidnapper to hopefully make her way back home...

King's Quest IV: Perils of Rosella is the fourth entry into the King's Quest series and the first among them to move from the Sierra AGI engine to the new SCI engine, with square pixels and the introduction of the beautiful midi sequences of the Roland MT-32. It tells the story of King Graham's daughter, Rosella, on a quest to save Graham after he collapses when welcoming Alexander (Gwydion) and Rosella home after the adventures of King's Quest III. She is transported to the magical realm of Tamir, where in true King's Quest fashion, she must interact with fairytale creatures in order to help a fairy godmother analogue, in order to secure the one cure for her father's malady.
