Sierra Saturday: Let's Play King's Quest V: Episode 7 - Goochie-goochie goo
King Graham defeats the Yeti as commissioned by Queen Icebella using the mighty power of slapstick, and makes his way down the far side of the mountain range to an isolated beach. Luke points out completely unavoidable deaths (for the inexperienced player) and then Graham and Cedric (after a few reloads) make their way to a massive-looking island populated with hostile harpies, where Cedric is kidnapped and Graham's life is put in immediate danger.

King's Quest V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder! is the critically acclaimed 5th game in the venerable point & click adventure franchise, developed and published by Sierra On-Line in 1990. It was the first King's Quest game to be released in VGA on teh SCI1 engine, and also the only King's Quest game to receive a NES port. It revolutionized the Sierra Point 'n Click adventure game genre by introducing the verb bar interface, which would replace the long-running text parser.
The NPCs are playing King's Quest V with Roland MT-32 audio.
Sierra Saturday is a weekly series on the Level 0 NPCs channel, where Matt & Luke relive their childhoods playing classic adventure games of the '80s and '90s (and beyond?). Sierra adventure games were a special breed of dark humor, brutally unfair puzzles and unforgettable characters, and we hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane with us.
