Today we go on a new creepy adventure in the game Silt. Now when initially looking at the game's esthetic and point of view, undoubtedly many will think of the indie classic Limbo. But Silt feels very different and has it's own flavor while also being an homage to earlier said title. We find ourselves underwater in a mysterious place with many different kinds of danger on our path. All we know is we have to get to the center where a giant machine lays quiet and ready to be activated by those who enter. Along the way we will be fighting giant eels, spider crabs and ferocious sea worms. The art style is beautiful and eerie and the puzzles are logical and never leave you lingering too long. The cool thing about the game is that you get to possess other creatures which give you brand new abilities. From the ability to destroy various obstacles to being able to teleport or dash really fast. Clever puzzles get introduced with this and the introduction of new creatures to turn into keeps it fresh and exciting. I feel like we should not have too many more indie games that take this esthetic since it will then start to feel stale, but Silt is a game that can stand on it's own two feet (or should I say flippers?) next to it's bigger brother Limbo.
