tModLoader 1.4.4: It's been a thing for... not for long. It's a pretty recent thing which got its public debut... but don't expect too much, most mods don't work with it, let alone you shouldn't expect the game to work in a stable manner. But hey, it is here, and I don't see any noticeable problem with it. There are some mods built for 1.4.4 as well, so I checked it out.
