- Sir Lancelot (ColecoVision Version) - Skill 2 Longplay -

Sir Lancelot is a rare and somewhat obscure game despite being released on various systems, including the ColecoVision, Atari 2600, Commodore 64, and Commodore Vic-20.

This aerial action-adventure game revolves around Sir Lancelot's quest to rescue Guinevere, held captive by a fire-breathing dragon in a castle. Players control Sir Lancelot atop Pegasus, navigating through two distinct stages.

The first one involves flying outside the castle, engaging in aerial combat against diverse flying creatures while avoiding getting hit.
Upon clearing the first area, players proceed to the interior of the castle for the second stage, where they confront a flying dragon.

Here, the objective is to strategically use Sir Lancelot's lance to defeat the dragon, while skillfully evading its fireballs and maneuvering carefully to avoid flying too low and falling into the engulfing lava.

However, despite its engaging gameplay and initial novelty, the game's brevity becomes apparent as it consists of only two stages, and after completing a loop, it can become monotonous.

While the differentiation of monsters in the initial stages adds variety, the subsequent stage remain unchanged across the four difficulty levels, contributing to a sense of repetition upon successive playthroughs.

Fun fact: the game offers a unique feature: across its four Skills, the initial stage presents different sets of monsters to defeat, providing varying challenges among levels — a departure from the usual difficulty changes seen in other ColecoVision games.

In Skill 2, I completed the first loop then intentionally lost all of my remaining lives.
