Sitting for Psychonauts is a program I put together based on my nearly 20 years as a meditation teacher. And as a meditation teacher who came to meditation to help me integrate my wild, strange recreational cum spiritually emergent psychedelic experience way back in the day. It's been a powerful tool ever since.
It was designed as a self care program, for people who wanted to strengthen their practice in order to have more facility in psychedelic spaces, and more ability to integrate healthfully afterward. From what I've gathered from my students, it does just that.
Interestingly enough, another demographic started to show up as well. Many participants in the class expressed a desire to literally sit for psychonauts! A variety of therapists and healers who were interested in holding space for other members of the community enrolled in the class. Intelligent, skilled people who already had good methodologies for client work came serious about cultivating their presence and wisdom. Folks want to show up fully for each other, wanting to be able to stay centered and grounded in loving awareness. And wonderfully enough, this program does that too!
I'm not calling this a professional level training. I've directed Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher trainings in the past, and I understand what's involved. We may have one in the future, hopefully one where we could gather in person for a weekend. For now, it's an intensive. It's for deepening, for spending time committed to our personal evolution. I am honored that professionals have decided to attend the intensive in the past, and overjoyed that I could serve them.
So this is your invitation to the Sitting For Psychonauts Intensive. It's going to be the four Mondays in May, 5pm Pacific time. It's $200 until the 20th, and then it goes up to $250. Compared to a lot of the other things out there, it's quite a deal. If you're in dire financial straits, email me, we can talk.
